Frequently asked questions

1. If I park my car in one of the zones can I wait for some time before paying, without being fined?

Once the client has parked his/her car he/she has 15 minutes to pay for the parking through one of the methods offered. If the client does not pay, a parking attendant will charge him / her with additional payment of 1.870 din.

2. When the paid parking time expires am I entitled to any free-of-charge extra time?

No. By the Regulation of public car parks there is not a single minute of tolerance. However, every parking attendant will wait for 5 minutes before charging any fines.

3. Why do I have to provide my documents to inspection every time when I want to extend my Privileged parking ticket, even though you have all my personal data in computer?

All the persons with the residence in zone designated areas are entitled to Privileged parking ticket. It is confirmed with the ID card. This is one of the ways to check if the particular person has changed the address of residence and now lives in non-zoned area. By inspecting the driving licence it is checked if the vehicle is registered as well as the ownership of the vehicle. The Law of safety in traffic says that unregistered vehicle cannot participate in traffic.

4. Why do you not inform me that my Privileged parking ticket (PPT) has expired?

If the vehicle is parked at the proper parking place in a zone designated area, a parking attendant is obliged to leave a notice of PPT expiry three days before it expires. We plan to launch the possibility of informing the client of PPT expiry through SMS, but only on client’s demand.

5. What papers does a legal entity need to extend a PPT?

We have really simplified the procedure. A day upon payment on our account, someone from the particular company should come to Parking control department, Starine Novaka 22 Street, bring a driving licence of the vehicle to inspection and an ID so that the data can be entered into our database.

6. I have sent an SMS to pay for parking, but I was fined. Why?

  • It is quite possible that you have entered a wrong car plate number or the wrong zone
  • It sometimes happens that the client does not read the mobile operater response, which except the positive, can be one of the following:
  - We are sorry, but this service is disabled at the moment. Please, try later.
  - Your request is currently being processed, try later.
  - This service is not possible because of the time limit. Try later.
  • In case that the client is in situation with a protection system, sending an SMS is disabled and ‘pending’ reads on the screen.

Parking services and prices depend on the garage. Therefore, individuals pay between 500 and 21.150 dinars, while legal entities pay between 2.640 and 31.785 dinars. For more information and a possible parking place lease please call 30 35 400.

10. How can I subscribe to a place in one of the garages?

You can do this by telling our staff in Info media centre (phone number +381 11 3035400) the necessary data – a car owner’s name and family name, contact telephone number, the make of the car and  the car plate number. You will immediately be given the number of your application which will be dealt with in 7 to 10 days. You can also do this via the Internet by completing a parking place lease form which can be found here

11. Are you going to introduce parking zones to the other parts of the city?

The procedure for launching a parking zone is as follows: it is not initiated by JKP ‘Parking Servis’ as it is often thought. City traffic department conducts a study into parking facilities. When the result of the study points out to the necessity of launching the new zones, with the approval of the City Council  we get ‘the green light’ for doing so.
