Higher mandatory fine for illegal parking

The new Law of safety in traffic prescribes that in case of an illegally parked car the driver will be charged a mandatory fine of 5000 dinars instead of the former fine of 2000 din.

The change is also that a driver does not pay the fine immediately when he comes to collect the car to one of the ‘Parking Servis’ locations where his car has been towed away. On the locations Staro sajmište, Slavija, Vidin kapija i Ada Ciganlija, the driver is charged on the spot only for towing the car away. The mandatory fine is paid within 8 days at the post offices and banks through a money order, which is handed in when taking the car.

The costs of towing away the illegally parked cars and which are charged by ‘Parking Servis’ remain the same.
