JKP ‘Parking Servis’ in association with Zvezdara municipality and City Traffic Department arranged a public debate regarding the extension of zone parking system at Zvezdara, on Thursday 15th April.
On account of citizens’ many suggestions and requests for solving the parking problem, Zvezdara municipality carried out a survey and received a support for extending the parking zone at the territory of the municipality.
City traffic department experts, Boban Kovačević, JKP Parking Servis CEO and Milan Popović the president of Zvezdara municipality were answering the citizens’ questions related to the parking issues.
As of 26th April 2010. a zone parking system will be extended to a part of municipality Zvezdara which is bounded by the following streets: King Alexander Boulevard, Roosevelt Street, Dimitrija Tucovica and Batutova. The green zone with the time limit of 3 hours will be introduced in that part of the municipality.
This parking system entitles residents and business persons, who reside at this municipality and have a vehicle registered in their name or the name of the company, to a privileged parking ticket without a time limit.
The zone parking system will help reduce traffic problems and increase safety of pedestrians. The launching of the zone parking at this part of the Zvezdara municipality will enable the residents to find a parking place much easier than before.
