Parking zones – payment methods

Time limits

There are three parking zones: first (red), second (yellow) and third (green) which are marked with specific traffic signs with boards of corresponding colour and signs on the road. Parking time is limited to 1 hour in the first zone, 2 in the second and 3 in the third one. Charging for parking in all three zones is from 7.00 to 21.00 on weekdays and from 7.00 to 14.00 on Saturdays. Drivers are charged per commenced hour. Once when the limited time expires a driver is not allowed to park the car in the same zone in the next 30 minutes.

Payment

Payment of parking can be done in four ways – through SMS messages, parking tickets, parking ticket machines, and parking attendants. One hour in the red zone costs 56,00 dinars, in the yellow 38,00 and in the green 31,00.

SMS - a message should contain the car plate number details typed without a space and then sent to a number depending on the zone in which the car is parked: 9111 for the red, 9112 for the yellow and 9113 for the green zone. A few moments later you will get the reply that confirms you have done the payment. About 10 minutes before your parking time finishes a message will advise you about it. If your car is parked in a yellow or green zone you can extend your time by sending another message.

Parking ticket - a ticket can be bought at a kiosk. You should write down the time of parking on it. The ticket should be displayed at a noticeable place on the windshield inside a car.

Parking ticket machines - tickets can be bought at the machines, which can be found at a few places in all zones. The machine is programmed to issue a ticket, which should be displayed at a noticeable place on the windshield inside a car.

Parking attendants – it is possible to buy a ticket from "Parking Servis" parking attendants who patrol the zones.
