For cleaner and nicer Belgrade

02.04.2008.

As on previous years, JKP ‘Parking Servis’ from today starts the campaign of removing unregistered and abandoned vehicles from public areas. Owing to JKP ‘Parking Servis’ all the citizens who own non-functional vehicles have the opportunity to dispose of them free of charge. All they have to do is to give a call to Info Media Centar on 303-5-400. In case that the owner doesn’t report the vehicle himself it will be removed by communal inspection order and this will be charged 4 837,50 dinars.

On this occasion Branko Arsenijevic, PR JKP ‘Parking Servis’ says:

- ‘Citizens are willing to dispose of damaged vehicles, but they usually don’t know how to do it. This is the most common reason why they leave these vehicles on the streets. JKP ‘Parking Servise’ being a socially responsible company, wants to help Belgrade citizens to dispose of non-functional vehicles. We transport such vehicles to a designated location in Block 66. JKP ‘Parking Servis’ joins this campaign every year and this year is a special one because Belgrade will be a host to a great number of people who will come over because of Euro song. Belgrade is a capital and it deserves all our efforts to make it look as good as possible.’

This campaign will cover ten city municipalities - Vračar, Savski Venac, Stari Grad, Rakovica, Palilula, Čukarica, Novi Beograd, Voždovac, Zvazdara and Zemun. JKP ‘Parking Servis’ appeals to vehicle owners to report their non-registered and abandoned cars and thus avoid paying the cost of towing the vehicle.
